Richard
Shiflet
As a young man right out of
Holmes Bible College, Richard began traveling as the pianist
for the "Thomas Brooks Singers" in the summer of 1984. In
December of that year, on New Year's Eve, Richard was one of
the three young men who continued to carry on in the ministry
with the formation of the group, the Samaritans (later known
as Emerald City Quartet). Richard has continued in the
ministry since 1984 and is currently the Manager of the Joint
Heirs.
The words used to describe Richard for the group
would be the "wind beneath the wings". He drives and takes
care of the Bus; He prepares and arranges all the music; He
maintains and engineers all the sound equipment; He does all
web design and maintenance; He handles and confirms all group
bookings; the rest of the group just shows up!
Noel
Shiflet

In the fall of 1989, as the wife
of Richard and the young mother of Hope (only 8 months old),
she began traveling in the singing ministry.
Every group needs a woman 's touch
and that's just what Noel adds to the Joint Heirs. A great wife
and wonderful mom she helps arrange vocal parts and handles
the really "important" decisions like what
color to wear to the next
service. Noel is truly anointed and the
compassion of God is
displayed through her so beautifully everywhere the Joint
Heirs travel.
Hope
Shiflet
"Fifteen going on twenty five,"
thats how Noel introduces their oldest daughter at singings.
And once you see how she ministers in both testimony and song
we think you'll agree that she's far beyond her years.
As a young teen at 13 years old, Hope
stepped on stage with her Mom and Dad to become part of the
Joint Heirs in the fall of 2002.
Lauren
Shiflet
"Let no man despise thy youth;
but be thou an example of the believers."was
the advice the Apostle Paul gave a young man named Timothy in
1Tim 4:12. Lauren follows this advice well.
As a young girl only 10 years old, she joined her family to
be the youngest singer of the Joint Heirs in the fall of
2002.
Lauren adds that special
enthusiasm that only comes from youth.
Fred
Leopard
Known to most as "Papa
Fred", Noel's father proves that youth is not the only asset
we need in ministry. A licensed minister of music in the
Church of God, His gentleness, wisdom and
steady hand helps the Joint Heirs "stay the
course" no matter which way the winds blow.
Fred started traveling with
the Joint Heirs in the fall of 2002. He is usually
accompanied by his wife, Mema," Joyce Leopard. She is the group's
prayer warrior and a wonderful support.
